The sirens are getting louder, and help is on its way, but for anyone who has been shot, it may be too late unless they receive care immediately. The first priority for responding law enforcement is to find and stop the shooter; all other actions are secondary, including rendering medical aid.
VICTIM SUSTAINABILITY Trauma Kits & TRAINING
Basic first aid kits are not designed to deal with gunshot victims
There are several things that an individual can do, depending on the type of gunshot wound, to help stop someone from bleeding to death before emergency medical personnel arrive, as long as they have a bleeding control trauma kit. Ninex offers different types of bleeding control trauma kits specifically designed to deal with gunshot injuries that can be utilized by employees or the general public.
Ninex bleeding control trauma kits can be strategically placed throughout an organization, providing rapid accessibility. Each bleeding control station contains eight individual trauma kits and a folding litter to move the victims. A customized map is also included to show the location of each station.
Ninex can also provide pre-incident online training to employees on how to use the kits to help stop someone from bleeding to death until medical personnel arrive on scene and are able to locate the victims.
An active shooter can strike anywhere at any time with little to no warning. Organizations that are properly prepared can mitigate the threat. Learn how we can help your organization.
